These are amazing sandwiches from a little shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The bread is flaky and soft, the tender roast beef is sliced into thin, delicate layers upon ordering, the lettuce is finely shredded (which makes biting into the sandwich much easier), and the house dressing – a tangy mix of vinegar and oil, is the perfect condiment to bring all the components together. It’s a great place for those who crave Ike’s Place sandwiches in San Francisco – not for the quirky combinations, but for the sheer quality of ingredients.

The other thing I really appreciated is just how easy it was to eat this sandwich without it falling apart. For a sandwich of this size, not having ingredients squeeze out the sides while eating is pretty remarkable.

Another plus? The Chocolate Room, right around the corner. If you have the stomach room, swing by there for a scoop of chocolate sorbet.
