We arrived a few minutes before the pizza shop opened, so we proceeded to explore the cheese shop and purchase too many cheesy breads and baked items for our own good. When you’re surrounded by the aroma of dozens of freshly baked baguettes, buns, rolls, scones, and muffins, how can you resist? You don’t. You buy too many things and add your booty to your stockpile in the backseat of the car like we did.
The doors to the pizza shop opened at 4:30, and a line promptly formed. The service was quick and the tables filled up fast. We got our slices and took them to the bench outside the cheese shop to enjoy. I’m sure the slices would have tasted even better if they hadn’t been subjected to a 10-minute photo session, but we weren’t complaining (well, maybe my friend was, but she didn’t let on.) Oh, and an added bonus – they throw in an extra small slice on top of the regular slice – makes you feel like you’re getting a bargain!
